If you are not limited to the Hamilton Park area, there is a Montessori School on Warren St in Paulus Hook. I have heard that there is a waiting list, but it can't hurt to check it out

Does anyone have an idea about cost for the schools?

I can't speak for Hamilton Park Montessori, but I'm the product of a Montessori school. The school I went to was K-6, and while it lacked the structure of a normal school, I remember it being fun. When it was time to go to a different school, I tested smart enough to skip 7th grade. PM me if you have any questions about Montessori in general.

My daughter has been there for the past three years, and we love it. The teachers are wonderful, and the environment is warm and nurturing. I would be happy to answer any specific questions if you want to PM me.

Brooklynboy - keep in mind that parents are busy people ... sadly, we don't have time to hang out on JC list for hours on end, so please be patient is you want school advice.

There is also a great yahoogroup called "JC Family" that has lot of local school info.

I do not have any children but I think it is sad that no one has replied. There must be ONE person that has some advise. Whether it be bad or good just honest advice

we are trying to figure out schools for the fall for our 3 year old. Parents who have sent their kids to hamilton park montessori--did you and your kids like the experience and why (or why not)? I don't need advice about application process, just want to get parents' perspectives.
