We had a bad experience there recently. Our washer broke so we dropped off our laundry. When we went to pick it up, it had been co-mingled with someone else's laundry. They assured us that it hadn't been washed together but just folded on the same table and got mixed up. We had to spend the time we saved by doing drop off sorting through 4 bags of laundry to separate ours from the other laundry. When we went to pay I thought they would have offered a discount for our trouble but they charged us full price! (And I had to go back twice because I still ended up with some other woman's underwear in my bag.)

Just an FYI, Lucky Laundromat again upped their prices, this time on the dryers. Just telling everyone so you take extra quarters (or expect fewer minutes) since they seem to be trying to pull it off on the DL.

sorry to hear about your experience, I've never had a problem there and am a little suprised at the attitude you were given. Lucky's is my closest place to go so I've never tried it but there's always 3 daughters laundry on monmouth and 5th.

Normally I'd agree with you, but another lady in there inquired about the situation and the employee shrugged her shoulders with a "too bad" attitude and proceeded to drop quarters in the last 4 machines that had been loaded with drop-offs. I would think that she'd leave 1/2 of the machines open for walk-ins, but i guess not! (There wasn't a dryers issue, there was a washers issue, but same difference)

The one time i tried to use this laundry mat I schlepped all of my stuff in around 8:15am and then realized that there were no machines b/c they were all being used for drop off. I was quite annoyed!! Haven't been back!

I've been going there for a couple of years and never had any problems but I've never done laundry between 9-5 monday through friday but I bet if you had said something to the nice spanish lady there during the day she would have freed up some dryers for you.

Does anyone have any experience with the Lucky Laundromat on Jersey Ave. across from the C-Town?

I've found that their dryers don't dry well (you have to use the ones closer to the front of the building to get a good warm dry, which are typically used by the owners doing drop-off loads).

Also, today one of the employees was using ALL of the washing machines. In other words, only drop-off was getting done, and if you went in to do your own laundry, you were S.O.L. I saw 4 people come in and leave after discovering this.

Are they normally this unprofessional or is it my bad luck??
