I went there the other day with my kid, and there must've been 20 dogs running free. I find dog owners obnoxious. If you want to let your dog run free, go walk 'em under the turnpike, and give us back our parks.

OMG This is awful!
Is your current walker insured and bonded?
Have you reported this to the company? Or is this an individual walker? Wow this is outrageous...

btw: We own a pet care and walk company, just the 2 of us run it but we use Nina for our personal dogs too. Adore her!

They claim to be, and when the inconsistent billing was brought to their attention, they claimed that their record-keeping was accurate, even though what they claim we owe doesn't even match what our invoices say. The invoices that THEY WROTE BY HAND!

As for the missing items... can't prove it, so wouldn't bother to bring it up. They aren't even expensive things, just the fact that they are the ONLY people outside of us to have a key.

That's kinda sad...anyone calling themselves a dog walker/pet care provider should be versed and skilled in all the above and more.

You would think! But ... not so true.

There are dog walkers that I would never recomend to walk an APBT, and there are ones that I would never let near a chihuahua.
Sad.

German Shepherd, 7 years. Good with people, not other dogs. There's an issue we are having with our current walking service regarding inconsistent billing, and random items missing from our apt. I would talk to mary ann or Nelson.

My fiancee and I are considering adopting a dog. We're wondering how much does a dog walker cost per day and also if anyone had any recommendations on a specific walker.

We use: http://www.paulthedogwalker.com/

He does individual walks but also has play groups. We pay $20 a day for about 4 hours of our dog being out of the house and playing with other dogs. Much better deal then a 20 minute walk in my opinion.

Hi, adopting a dog is very exciting, but also a bit nerve-racking since one tries to think of all scenarios.

Most dog walkers charge $12-15 per 15-30 minutes. I'd like to offer my services, should you decide to adopt.

I live in downtown Jersey City where I have a couple of customers, so I can provide references. I walk each dog individually, at least 30 minutes, but weather-permitting, longer.

I can also cover emergency care (late day at the office, etc), vacations, or weekends.

If interested or want to discuss in more detail, please send me an email at ruxypets@yahoo.com, or call 201-677-2135.

Good luck with your decision, Ruxy

Congratulations on your decision to adopt! Please kindly go the Liberty Humane Society where many canines await their furever homes.

I recommend Downtown Dog Walk.

I can't speak more highly of anyone than Mary Ann and her team at JC Dog Walker. I adopted my dog Arthur in May from the North Shore Animal League, and they have been taking care of him during the day ever since. They are kind, compassionate and very reasonably priced.

On my block is a young lady with a curly fro and a pink stripe in her hair, she walks dogs on my street, curious if anyone knows who she is and if she is any good, I have also heard some suggestions for Paul, any thoughts?

We have been using Paul for a year now and have been happy. Our dog is a VERY active 3 year old German Shorthair Pointer. He just loves Paul and the afternoon play group for big dogs. He used to bounce off the walls when we came home from work despite me running long distances with him in the morning. I still run with him but now he is actually tired at night and goes to bed way before we do!

Hi All,

I'm hoping to find out the contact info for a dog walker I see around Paulus Hook frequently (She also said she used to be a supervisor at Boca's play n stay when they first opened). Hopefully she will see this message or someone else can forward me her info. We would love to see if she can walk/visit with our dog while we're away for the day. She's very sweet and friendly with brown hair.

Thanks!
Megan

It might have been metrodogs - we use them (def recommend them) and I know they live in PH.
