Yea wasnt downtown JC supposed to be the affordable place to go if you couldnt afford NYC? My guess is Eric Clapton can easily afford NYC so it dosnt really make sense, but who knows.

Clapton at Roosevelt Stadium JC 1974
ERIC CLAPTON He played there at the height of his drug problems and his show sucked. He played for maybe 35 minutes and then left without saying a word to the Roosevelt Stadium audience... Well, almost 10,000 kids then stormed the police barricades and caught up with Clapton's limo .. right there it was on the outfield trying to exit secretly out the back... . The crowd surrounded the limo and was shaking it so hard I thought the limo was going to flip over...

i've seen a few celebrities in the flamingo after hours...one night i was in there and a lot of new york knicks were in for some food. another night i was sitting next to john gibson from foxnews.

The only real celebrtities I am aware of having an apartment/house in JC are Ricky Paull Goldin, Mos Def, Ludacris, Samuel Jackson, Diane Neal, Michelle Rodriguez (use to live in the hights before joining Lost). All live in JC for sure as well as lame ass sidekicks from Howard Stern and other reality TV show. Jerry O'Connell grew up here...his mom tought at PS#27. Martha Stuart lived here when she was a kid as well as Nathan Lane.

A number of years ago, I worked for the parent company of her record label at the time. I had the pleasure of meeting her at a rather intimate dinner with my team in Manhattan (on the same night I met Stevie Wonder!). She hung out at our table for a couple of hours and was really warm, affable and charming.
