I don't think they have frozen yogurt. From what I understand it's homemade gelato and sorbet. If you're on facebook then look for Tom Parisi. You can get more information about the store and watch a promotional video.

stopped by this afternoon to cool off. very good and very affordable. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice treat on these hot days. they also have a decent back yard area with plenty of area to relax.

on a side note i looked at an apt. in the building about a year ago. to think I could have lived above an ice cream shop! my childhood fantasy come true!!

Just got back from this place, and I'm impressed! The shop itself is really charming and the garden area seems like a great spot to hang out. Both the manager and the owner were super friendly and excited to talk to the customers.
Apparantly, the gelato cooler broke this afternoon, so it was starting to melt by the time we got there at 9:30. Still, we tried almost all the flavors and they were amazing- especially the coconut curry and tiramisu. And yes, the manager said they do make them all in house. Oh, and she said they also make there own mozzerella.. interesting!

I'm really excited that this place opened, and I hope they get a lot of support from the community. I'm planning to go back for lunch tomorrow to try a panini.

I stopped by for lunch on Friday and got lunch to go yesterday. They have a few things to iron out but all in all a great place. I enjoyed talking to Tommy about the place.

Actually, this could allow time for training and ironing out procedures and processes before the crush.

If they are half-way decent, they'll be fine. That300+ unit rental apt building 225 Grand just started leasing about 2 blocks away...

My good friend and I just got back from there and must say it's a great addition to the neighborhood. The proprietor and namesake, Tommy, is very gregarious, engages his customers and you can tell that he's sort of invested his heart and soul into it. We both had the gelato and look forward (well I do) to trying the truffle fries, sandwiches, salads and breakfast fare. There's also a nice background little urban oasis with a fountain and pergola. There's a BBQ going on now until 11 so go show some support.

A few weeks ago we passed Tommy Two Scoops and the door was open. We walked in and even though the place wasn't technically "open", the owner asked us if we wanted to try some free gelato anyway.

It was really good (we had vanilla with Nutella topping) and the owner (Seth) was really nice. We'll definitely be stopping by again to try the rest of the flavors, a great addition to the neighborhood.

I decided to walk past this place on Friday and to my luck they just opened. A quick conversation with the owner Tom Parisi and I quicky realized that this place is more than a place to grab frozen treats. They have bagels, paninis, wraps, fries, sandwiches, and gelato. They also have a large outdoor patio.

Tommy Two Scoops
177 York St
Jersey City, NJ 07302
(201) 360-0791

On York between Marin and Warren Street.
