HA!

This has gotta be post-of-the-year material.

You may have been watching the construction for a year, but apparently you were born yesterday. Please do yourself a favor and pick this up from the JC Library.

On topic: Went a few days ago and it looked like a really cool place. This and the bakery give me an excuse to walk all the way to that end of Newark. They have a buy-10-get-1-free card, which I'm a sucker for, so they've got my business for the next 9 gelato purches.

"Maybe Healy expedited their permits in exchange for the sign :)"

Wow, I'm surprised individuals would write something like this about people you probably never spoke to. I think this is referred to as slander!! I sincerely doubt that Healy had anything to do with their opening considering that I live in the neighborhood and watched them take over a year to open. And, they probably spent tons of their own legitimate money doing so. Further, I doubt any politician would jeopardize their political status during a re-election year over a small time operation. People, isn't this a free country with democratic values? This reminds me of the hatred of the 1960's where one did not associate with someone because of their race, religion, or political views. I thought we moved beyond that mentality. A restaurant's posting sign in the window will not prevent me from patronizing them. Particularly, if none of you have even asked them the rationale. Besides, its' none of my business - literally and figuratively what they do so long as they are doing good for the community which I think they have by bringing more attention to the area and classing the place up. Now, more than ever, I plan to pay them a visit and often!!

This place looked great on a hot day last week -- with the doors onto the Newark Avenue were all open -- the place was really jumping! Should do really well this summer.

Is this a left over sign from the 2012 election with Healy running as VP ?

Including the name Obama is the only way that sign has even an ounce of credibility.

I think Tachair Books has everyone's signs up -- but it is really too bad -- too many signs really hides the nice Interiors!.

There's no way I am punishing a local business for their political views, but this is certainly a good reason why I would never have a sign in my window as a local business.

It is a really nice looking place -- it is great the front windows all open for outside like seating -- they just need to keep the ugly signs from being taped to the glass front door -- but I guess one can say that even for Tachair Books.

Have been meaning to try this place, and will make sure to do so as the weather gets warmer.

Wow. Fantastic. Two thumbs up.

It's on Newark Ave. just past Pecararo Bakery.

Wow.
