The man told cops that he was waiting for his wife to get out of the car when he saw the boy riding on the sidewalk dangerously close to the open door and his wife, reports said. The man told cops he tried to warn the boy and his wife, but apparently the boy misheard him and jumped off his bike and approached the couple.

I'm not saying the kid was right but I'd bet that it was more than a kind warning. My guess is the dude had it coming and ran inside to hide.

It astounds me the percentage of people in this city who wake up itching for a fight, whether it's the woman on the PATH listening to music without headphones, glaring at fellow passengers, daring us to say something, or this guy, who's clearly in the wrong but ready to assault someone who warns him of danger. Where is all this anger coming from? It's really depressing to witness every damn day.

Its a North East thing. I was in Hawaii last month, after 2 days everything that got me angry here didn't get me angry there. Its the pace of life here. Its stressful.

They need to just crack down on stupidity and make it a felony.

I've seen 3 people knocked to the ground by bikes on the sidewalk on Newark Ave over the past 6 months! They need to crack down on bikes on the sidewalk!

Call it a case of road rage with a bicycle.

A 16-year-old Jersey City boy who became incensed when a man tried to warn him of an impending collision with the man?s wife busted into the man?s home and attacked him Thursday night, police said.

The Summit Avenue boy was charged with burglary, criminal mischief and simple assault after the 8 p.m. incident on Fifth Street in Jersey City.
