Our tax bills should reflect what we are paying for others. Rent control increases are related to the Consumer Price Index and affordable housing does not pay any increase. So the increase will be on the small homeowner. If yoiu are paying $5,000, $10,000, or $20,000 in taxes, what part of your bill subsidizes others? That should be on our tax bills.
