It is time affordable and rent control start contributing to the problem. Affordable housing pays nothing and rent control pays little, any increase is due to the rent leveling board which bases increase on the Consumer Price Index, not taxes.

The Jersey City Board of Education has until tomorrow to decide whether to approve a $681 million budget that fully funds the city?s public schools and raises the school tax levy by $103.7 million.
