2020 Leaf Bag Schedule

Pavonia Ave and West Hamilton Place

don't forget. leaves can make good mulch

I left one full bag out with the regular tuesday night/wednesday morning trash. It was collected.

I have a feeling that the Zones on the recycling map may be the same as leaf collection. At least it is divided into 4 zones, still:

I missed my chance to find out last night.

I picked up the printed schedule from city hall today. Saturday bag distribution supposedly started on Sept 29 and collection on Oct 4 - don't know why they haven't posted this stuff online somewhere.

Saturday distribution locations are as BennyInDaHeights said, 12-3pm. The paper implies there will be Nov/Dec Sat distributions. You can also pick up bags at:
Municipal Services Complex 13-15 Linden Ave East, M-F 9am-4pm
City Hall Resident Response Center 280 Grove St, M-F 8am-8pm

There used to be a website where you would put in your street name and find out your zone, but it seems the current trash/recycling collection info doesn't use the old zone terminology anymore:

Do we know if leaf bags are being given out? Maybe that information is with the collection schedule.

I called the DPW on Friday and they said it was too early to have the schedule. This doesn't make any sense since last year the first pickup was October 5. I just don't understand why every year it's a surprise to them when leaf collection time comes around.

Does anyone know the 2018 leaf pickup schedule? I just called the dept of public works and they didn't seem to know....

How do we know which zone we're in? I looked on the website (and tweeted them) but can't seem to find anything. Is this the same zoning as trash and recycling? (I don't know why I'm asking as I don't know what zone I'm in anyway.)
