Yes - courtesy of Liberal judges. We need to show compassion for convicted criminals - never mind the victims.

Why do conservatives always need to blame the world's problems on liberals?

At least we look for ways to solve problems.

DAs bring charges they think they can win. Since so much is unknown about this little girl's death (how, and more importantly, where she died), charging her father with specifics is tricky.

Have you actually served time or are you echoing the received wisdom of Hollywood, which we've all undoubtedly encountered thousands of times at this point?

No I never served time. My uncle, however, is a retired prison guard.

Man guilty of dumping his toddler daughter’s body in suitcase along train tracks

Nearly one year after the remains of a 23-month-old girl were found in a suitcase along a set of train tracks in Jersey City, the toddler’s father has been convicted of a grisly crime that could land him in prison for up to two decades.

Travis Plummer, 38, was found guilty Tuesday of the unlawful concealment of human remains following a week-long trial in Hudson County Superior Court. It took a jury less than a day to convict Plummer, who will face between 10 to 20 years in prison when he is sentenced next month, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.

Father of baby found in suitcase was convicted in other child's death: report
Updated 7:11 PM; Posted 6:57 PM

By Caitlin Mota The Jersey Journal

When Travis Plummer was charged with dumping the remains of his daughter's body in a suitcase in Jersey City, it marked the second time he was charged in connection with a child's death.

Plummer, 37, was charged with felony child neglect in 2004 when his 8-month-old son drowned in the bathtub. The father told police he had tried to perform CPR, which records indicate was not true, The Richmond Times-Dispatch reported.

JERSEY CITY, New Jersey (WABC) -- Authorities investigating the gruesome discovery of a child's body found in a suitcase along the PATH tracks in New Jersey have identified the victim as a missing 2-year-old girl from Virginia.

The body of Te'Myah Plummer was found around 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, under the Tonnelle Avenue Bridge at the end of Van Wagenen Avenue in Jersey City.

Police in Richmond, Virginia, had announced in March that they were seeking the public's help in locating Plummer and her father, Travis Plummer. They had last been seen in August.

It was believed they may have relocated to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg County, North Carolina area, or perhaps Jersey City. At the time, they did not believe either was in any danger.

Now that the girl's remains have been located, police are searching for the father.

Travis Plummer, 37, is described as a black male, 5-foot-8 and 250 pounds with a medium complexion.

Anyone who could share information as to their whereabouts is asked to contact police.

JERSEY CITY, N.J. — A baby was found dead in a suitcase left near PATH tracks in Jersey City on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

The gruesome discovery was made about 12:40 p.m. underneath the Tonnelle Avenue Bridge, just off Broadway, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office said.

A PATH train crew spotted a suitcase near tracks not far from the Journal Square stop and called police, sources told PIX11 News. When officers arrived, they found human remains in the container.

The prosecutor’s office described the victim as an infant and said homicide investigators are on the scene.

Additional details were not immediately available.
