JERSEY CITY ? A supermarket shut down over alleged health violations reopened with the city?s blessing on Wednesday night.

Ali Ayesh, co-owner of Fine Fare on West Side Avenue, said workers did more than the city demanded.

?I didn?t want to give anyone else a chance to say anything,? Ayesh said.

Just to let you guys know, this place is open right now. I just drove past and saw. They also have their certificates in the front window.

Thank you! That place is a disaster along with the other place "Bravo Supermarket" they have down Westside Avenue by Union Street.
I told them a few times at both places about the cheese, cookies, various meats, milk, juices, fruit, etc that were bad and still on the shelf. Their solution I saw the next day i went in there was to put a sale or reduced sticker on it & still try to sell it.
I saw on the seeclickfix app that people been posting about that place for a while and their expired food being sold & the mold issue.

not surprised. I found a bunch of feta cheese containers covered in mold and notified the manager. The cheese was back on the shelf the next day, just sloppily cleaned off. I could still see some mold on the containers.

JERSEY CITY ? A West Side Avenue supermarket was shut down by the city last week after health inspectors say they compiled the longest list of health code violations they have seen in recent memory.
