Parents at Lena Edwards Academic Charter School were notified today after a second grade teacher at the Jersey City school was arrested on sexual assault charges Friday. Lauren Mitchell, 32, engaged in inappropriate sexual activity with a 15 year old, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office. The married Lyndhurst woman is being charged with aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. Despite the arrest occurring Friday, parents were only notified today, but received very little information on a flyer. Story
