Art show’s brilliant colors provide the antidote to dreary winter

Updated 3:06 PM; Posted 2:02 PM (1/16/2019)

By Tara McDonough | For The Jersey Journal

Jersey City Art School’s new exhibit at 313 Gallery, “A Splash of Colour,” stands out against the dark chill of January in the Downtown arts district. Clean-cut gradients of brilliant color and optical illusions created by local artist Peter Bill shatter the monotony of the winter season.

“In order to exist (as an artist), you have to find the next big thing,” painter Peter Bill says. “I am trying to do what nobody else has done.”

“A Splash of Colour” had its opening reception on Sunday, Jan. 13, and will be on display until Jan. 20.
