Delores Freire, 66, was charged on Thursday with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in death, five days after authorities say she struck Cory Nettles, 44, on Monmouth Street between 10th and 12th streets. The Hudson County prosecutor tweeted Saturday evening that the incident happened in the area of 12th and Monmouth streets. A pedestrian was struck by a car that took off from the scene. 12/23/2018: Hit and run death 12th and Monmouth homeless man Saw it on Sunday News 4 NY. They said 12th and Monmouth under the roadway. The guy was known in the area. Don?t see it anywhere else.
