While I know this isn't JC related, we have a lot of dog families here...please pass this along. Vitamin D poisoning is awful.

Eight dry dog food brands have been recalled by the Food and Drug Administration due to “excessive, potentially toxic” amounts of vitamin D.

Nutrisca
Natural Life Pet Products
Sunshine Mills, Inc.
ANF, Inc.
Lidi (Orlando brand)
Kroger
ELM Pet Foods, Inc.
Ahold Delhaize (Nature’s Promise)

In some cases, there is as much as 70 times the intended amount, the FDA said in a press release. While the vitamin is an essential nutrient for dogs, high doses can cause serious health issues, such as kidney failure or death.
