.
Just saw new signage on the old Toys R Us on rt 440 by the Hudson Mall.

It is for Furniture Zone.

https://www.furniturezoneny.com/

Looks like they have a few locations in NY and NJ.

I don't remember a Pathmark there but I do remember Rickles. It was way better than the Home Depot & Lowes we now have in the area.

Many years ago I heard of the 'wheel of merchandising": new businesses come on at the bottom and as the old ones get over the top they fall off.

Wouldn't it be grand if those store locations were connected in a park area?

We need another Roosevelt Stadium type park in the area rather than enterprises that congest and pollute.

.
The yellow ?STORE CLOSING? banner made its first appearance on Toys R Us.

It then moved on down the road to Kmart.

It is now on the National Wholesale Liquidators store.

Fun fact- the NWL building used to be a Pathmark then a Rickles hardware store.
