Jersey City property owners getting extra time to pay tax bill

Jersey City is giving Jersey City residents a grace period to pay their Aug. 1 tax bills, officials said.

The municipal tax rate of $1.48 (per $100 of assessed value) was certified by the Hudson County Tax Board on July 27 and property owners are expected to receive their bills in the next three weeks.

Because of the delay, residents will have a 25-day grace period from the date they receive their bills, city officials said.

I heard from Maryann Amato at the tax office that the August 1 date is being extended by a few weeks.

The city passed the final budget on July 18th, so the bills are now being prepared.

Where is my August 2018 Property TAX bill? I looked online but seems like it is marked 0?
