A handyman cannot get a permit for plumbing or electrical work, unless he/she knows a plumber/electrician who will let him/her sign off under the plumber/electrician's license.

Hello,

I would like to add a laundry closet to my unit. This will require plumbing and electrical permits. I am just curious about the permitting process. Does JC turn building permits around for small jobs quickly? How about scheduling inspections? Would this whole thing take more than a month? Honestly, a handyman could bang the whole job out in 3 or 4 days lol.

Thank you for the info.
