Another vote for McNulty's. Options galore. Beautiful store. Nice owners.
Right off the christopher path stop. Mail delivery is an option.

Yes, but the time I did it I found it expensive and not impressive.

I've been home roasting for several years and I'd go to Legal Grounds when I'd fall behind and needed roasted beans in a pinch. They sell by weight which is good, however, the quality of their beans is extremely hit or miss. I'm not sure if it's how they store them, but I've had several batches that have been nearly undrinkable.

Sprove on Columbus has several barrels of beans laid out, ala Whole Foods. They also have a ton of pre-packaged ones of top notch brands.

Also, Beechwood sells by the weight, and it is pretty good typically.

If not Froth on Franklin Espresso Bar up in the Heights uses Kobrick perhaps he can sell you some of their ground roasted beans.

+1 for Empire. the owner, Abbe Rivers, is a longtime member of the Hoboken music scene, and the regular chair-dwellers are a fun and friendly bunch.

Thanks, I have considered this place, but I stopped taking the 33rd street PATH like 2 years ago..

I hate that line. I only use WTC & (Hoboken Path only when I have to). Also visiting this spot means traveling with a huge knapsack into the city which I am trying to avoid. I can never run into the city just to get one thing... for some reason I always return with several shopping bags and a knapsack which sucks when you have to take the lightrail after the path.

Yes, Legal Grounds is open again, after the flooding. They roast on-site in a very small roaster in the back.

Most whole beans are around $10/lb - some more, some less.

Is this place still open? I tried calling but never can get through....

Nice, this also looks promising.. a little more $ than PR, but much better packaging. I will give it a try. Thank you!!!!

I just found something down on Exchange Place, but their reviews don't look promising.

Looking for a place that has coffee beans either in JC, Bayonne or Hoboken.

I prefer to buy the beans by the pound, I normally buy my beans on Delancey or Bleecker street in NYC which not always the best when you buy 10-15 lbs a month (Yes we drink lots of coffee in our house) I was hoping to find something I can ride my bike to or even take the lightrail.

Thanks!
