can't speak for Dish, but i have Directv and it's great. I don't get outages unless there's a blizzard or some sort of severe storm. Regular rain/snow won't affect my image. I do have YES/MSG and CBS. And the DVR functionality is great/easy to use.

Our building has an agreement with some middleman that basically forwards the Dish Network's service. I do get outages in particularly bad weather. Not all the time, and usually not for long. But it's noticeable.

Then there's the fact that Dish Network doesn't carry YES network or MSG. They even got into a dispute with CBS and weren't carrying them for a while!

We just got FIOS installed in our building and I'm looking to switch the other way, so I am curious about your experience!

Getting tired of Verizon and having to pay for Fios service plus cable boxes, etc... Curious what DISH TV users think? Is there a lot of weather interference affecting service? Are you happy with DISH services? How's there internet service? and what are you using if for phone service (I need a wired service for work). Any feedback is appreciated.
