Roadway repairs to close lanes on Hudson County Extension

If you need to use the Hudson County Extension this weekend, expect to sit in traffic.

The westbound roadway between Interchange 14A and Interchange 14 will be reduced to one lane from 9 p.m. tonight until 5 a.m. Monday, New Jersey Turnpike Authority officials said. The lanes will be closed for emergent bridge deck repairs in the westbound lanes.

The work has been coordinated with westbound Pulaski Skyway and the Bayonne Bridge, both of which will remain open during peak periods Saturday and Sunday, officials said.

Also, the eastbound Hudson County Extension between Interchange 14C and Jersey Avenue will be reduced to one lane from 8 p.m. tonight until 5 a.m. Monday, also for emergent bridge deck repairs and resurfacing.
