JC Fish Stand on Jersey Ave has EXCELLENT fish. Maloneys is great for meat, but
there aren't many great places for meat in downtown. Whole Foods Newark has
good meats and organic chicken, often on sale. Also Shoprite in Hoboken has decent
meats at very good prices.

Pampita has great stuff, but is brutally expensive. For local meat I generally try Moloney's or 22nd St Butcher shop in Bayonne.

Thanks people for your recommendations.
I tried 99 ranch several times, and they are great in terms of the Asian products, but I think their veggies and fruits aren't in that good level, not that fresh.
Also tried the fish market once, but I didn't feel they carry super fresh fish neither. It could be because it was weekday, there were law traffic there so they weren't provide that much inventories. But I'll try some meat shops that people recommended near Journal Square!

If you're looking for one stop shopping, 99 Ranch is probably your best bet along with a ton of great vegetables. If you're willing to break it up a bit, check out JC Fish Stand on Jersey Ave and Moloney's in Journal Square or Pampita Meat Shop on Central Ave in the Heights - both are worth the trip IMO.

We're unimpressed with their veggies. The cilantro they had the other day was downright nasty. 555 was far better.

I'm honestly a bit disappointed in their produce (99 Ranch). I've picked up bags of soggy salad off of their shelves several times, which I later had to return. I don't find their pricing to be as competitive as I thought it would be. I guess there's still too little competition in the area to put pressure on prices.

99 Ranch; Asian supermarket that is a ten minute walk from the corner of Grove and Grand.
