on May 10, 2017 at 12:30 PM A 26-year-old Jersey City man needed stitches after being stabbed twice while walking with his girlfriend on Montgomery Street early Tuesday morning, cops said. At about 12:45 a.m. Tuesday, police went to Jersey City Medical Center where the victim's girlfriend said they were walking near Brunswick Street when someone wearing a black hat and black sweatshirt stabbed the man, according to a police report. The report does not indicate what, if anything, precipitated the attack. At the hospital, the victim was "extremely uncooperative and belligerent" toward the responding officers, stating that "he hates the cops" and wanted them to "leave him alone," the report states. Hospital staff told police the man suffered two lacerations to his left arm that were not life-threatening, but would require stitches, the report indicates. The victim's girlfriend said she could not identify the attacker, cops said
