Jeez, I'll cop to not knowing the latest lingo for being shot, lol. And mind the ageism, that's using a pretty micro-aggressive trigger word!

The updated story has the gunshot as being self inflicted (accident?). Not sure what's worse, a 14 year old getting capped, or a 14 year old packing.

By Patrick Villanova | The Jersey Journal
on January 31, 2017 at 5:17 PM, updated January 31, 2017 at 5:36 PM A Jersey City grammar school student suffered a gunshot wound while walking home about a block from the school, an official confirmed. Maryann Dickar, the spokeswoman for the Jersey City Public Schools, said the student attends Whitney M. Young Jr. School 15 on Stegman Street, but did not have the student's age. According to police radio transmissions, the student was shot in the calf near the corner of Wegman Parkway and Van Cleef Street -- about a block from the school. The student then walked back to the school, where the authorities were alerted, Dickar said. The shooting appears to have been reported around 3:30 p.m. Dickar directed further questions to the Jersey City Police Department. Jennifer Morrill, the Jersey City spokeswoman, could not be reached for comment on the shooting. The condition of the student could not be immediately determined. School 15 is attended by children in grades K through 8. http://www.nj.com/hudson/index.ssf/20 ... incart_river_mobile_index
