Did you feel the same way when Obama shut down Iraqis from entering the USA, or is this just because it's from President Trump? And what did you say when Obama shut out Cubans, when he changed the 'wet foot/dry foot' policy two weeks or so ago? Was Obama bigoted towards Cuban refugees fleeing a despotic state (although not one that cuts peoples heads off).

Trump ran on his outrage at the system and how wrong (his view) Obama/Clinton and most recent presidents were on foreign policy, immigration, national security, trade, and a host of other issuers. Why does he (and his sycophantic chorus) always fall back on "Obama did it, too!!" Didn't you vote for him so he would be different?

The answer is simple. Trump supporters are cowards. They are scared of their own shadows. They need their bubble.

Answer me this, Melania - why no Saudi Arabia - where 15 of 19 of the Sept. 11 attackers came from? Or the UAE, where 3 of the remaining 4 came from? Or Egypt, where the other came from? Or Pakistan, where Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the 1993 WTC bombers and the San Bernadino shooters came from? Or Kyrgyzstan - where the Tsarnaevs came from?

Because this is all part of a show. Playing to people's fear and unquestioning partisanship to further divide. By blindly playing along, giving your man everything he desires, you are part of the problem.

Don't accept everything that is being handed to you, in the tidy fact-lite sound bite package. It's okay to not agree with every single thing he does. I supported Obama (and would vote for him again, if given the option), but have no problem saying he came up short on closing Guantanamo, was a disappointment in his excessive use of drones, didn't get enough back from the banks in exchange for bailing them out, among other things.

Can you provide a link that says this? Many people are under the opposite impression. Trump himself said that he would give priority to Christian refugees trying to come to the US.

I have still not seen anyone try to explain the rationale why someone, i.e. Christian or not Muslim, from those countries is okay to let in, but if you're a Muslim then you're banned. It's a religious test, and a ban on Muslims from certain countries no matter how you slice it. If it wasn't a Muslim ban, as you stated, everyone from the countries of concern would be banned.

It's total ban from those 7 countries regardless of religious affiliation. Are you good now?

Just so everyone is clear on what Obama did and didn't do with regards to these specific countries of concern. These countries were previously included in the visa waiver program. Anyone from those countries could have come to the US, gone through customs like everyone else, and be granted a temporary visa. What Obama did was say these countries of concern should be removed from the visa waiver program, and instead the citizens of those countries would need to go through the standard visa application process. No where was there a ban on anyone from a country just because they were from that country, and there certainly wasn't any preferential treatment.

What Trump did was shoot himself in the foot with the rollout, the lack of internal communication with his own staff, the lack of a clear enforcement policy, the detention of legal permanent residents, and a religious test that results in the preferential treatment of other people from those same countries.

So yeah, it's a little different than what 'ol Barry did.

I never stated what Trump and Obama did was the same thing. I simply stated that Trump used the same countries Obama did. Obama was the first to identify them. This is not a Muslim ban because Muslims from any other country if free to travel at will including the Muslims who are US citizens. To call it a Muslim ban is ignorant!

No of course not... It's a "Muslim ban, except for those those countries in which the Donald has business interests."

You know what's really great about being a snowflake? Each one is entirely unique and when a lot of snowflakes get together ...well, you know.

When St. Rudy of the Rubble goes on television and says "Trump called me and said that wanted to setup a Muslim ban..." it doesn't matter who gets swept up as a side effect. It was designed as a Muslim ban and is a Muslim ban. You can't parse the stated intent.

The Holocaust was about slaughtering Jews. Just because others died doesn't change the fact that it was all about exterminating an entire group of people.

More than 1K gather in Jersey City to protest Trump actions

JERSEY CITY -- More than 1,000 people gathered on Newark Avenue tonight to protest recent moves by President Trump that target illegal immigration and clamp down on refugee admissions.

Waving signs reading "resist" and "friend of Islam," the crowd roundly booed any mentions of Trump and, after prodding from one of the roughly dozen speakers, repeatedly yelled "you're fired," Trump's catchphrase from the reality show he once hosted.

Wonder if you guys will get 10 years felony riot charges like the inauguration protestors did. I sure hope you do...

I was around the site earlier today and saw a huge amount of police gearing up. Was tempted to watch to see these bastards get pwn3d but like many Republicans I have things to do.
