An emotional swearing-in of new Jersey City councilman By JERSEY CITY — When Chris Gadsden graduated from Snyder High School in 1992, he put a one-word blurb beneath his yearbook photo. "Politics." Twenty-four years later, that teenage dream of a life in the political world came true as Gadsden, 42, was sworn in as the new Ward B councilman tonight. Both John Hallanan and Chris Gadsen are decent people. They are well like in the community. But people in that area are upset that Historic Preservation was forced down their throats. As I mentioned earlier, the people who spoke in favor of Historic Preservation mostly lived outside the community. This does not look well for Fulop second term.
