BTW, anyone heading to EWR would be well served to do the smart route that will save you time, headaches and money: go over the Pulaski and stay on the 1/9 (Express Lanes) all the way to the airport. From DTJC to EWR, the trip is a consistent 20 minute drive.

That was always my 1st choice before the eternal fustercluck of construction made it a crapshoot.

This is why when driving *anywhere* you should first check Waze. Absolutely indispensable, particularly in this area, where construction seems to be happening everywhere you look, and traffic conditions change rapidly.

BTW, anyone heading to EWR would be well served to do the smart route that will save you time, headaches and money: go over the Pulaski and stay on the 1/9 (Express Lanes) all the way to the airport. From DTJC to EWR, the trip is a consistent 20 minute drive.

FYI: Because of the construction on the TP Bridge going West towards Newark? rt 440 going towards Communipaw is backed up to Danforth with drivers trying to get to the TP from rt 1&9. (I was trapped in Home Depot) The TP Bridge is stand still going West.
