You could try what I did years ago and it seemed to work. I boxed up all that I received over a period of time, this after nothing else seemed to work.

Put in a note that I did not want to get the many each week left on my stoop and to please stop.

I addressed that package with their address and their return address and minimum amount of postage required.

Have never received another one.

I see you are trying to recreate the spirit of these flyers by giving us many copies of the same thing.

There's "do not call" lists too, and aren't worth a damn either. These are toothless laws. You probably stand a better chance of getting them prosecuted for littering.

? 81-6. - Distribution of handbills on private property where prohibition properly posted.

[Amended 2-24-1999 by Ord. No. 99-023]

It shall be unlawful for any person to deposit, place or throw any handbill upon any premises, if requested by any resident thereof not to do so or if there is placed on the premises in a conspicuous position near the entrance a sign which can be seen from the street bearing the words: "No Trespassing," "No Advertisements" or any similar notice, indicating in any manner that the occupants of the premises do not wish to have their right of privacy disturbed or to have any handbills left upon their premises. With regard to premises which are multifamily dwellings, the posting of such a sign shall also conspicuously identify the unit in which the resident who has posted the sign resides.

City Ordinance 81-6

There is also another ordinance stating they can't put ads on cars (81-10)

I used to get multiple copies of the ads, I spoke to the guy who was distributing them and told them I just wanted one and from then on I just got one.
(well once in a while I got multiple copies, but 90% of the time I got only one)

Talk to them and tell them when they are making their weekly pass. If not, ask to speak to the company managers and the problem will be solved.

I spoke to our delivery person (in the Heights) and requested 1 instead of 2 and since then that's what we receive. I think it just comes down to talking to the person who actually delivers them. We get ours every Thursday morning.

Circular deliveries are pests. Like cockroaches, they take a monumental effort to get rid of, and then some. As a condo board member some years ago, I was assigned to get rid of them. I forget the JC regulation, but it went something like you can opt out of delivery by informing the deliverer. I did so by phone, mail and certified mail. And I called the city, I forget whom. Nobody gave a dang. I gave up; it wasn't worth the effort.

I talked to this guy in a white van who drives up each block and gets out to drop these - but it made no difference.

If possible, hang around on Thursday morning, which is usually when they deliver them (although mine came today for some reason) and ask the person. Alternatively, I believe there's an address somewhere on the plastic wrap that has the name of the company - it's usually there so advertisers can get their stuff in the flyers - but give em a ring

I am recycling the paper and pull off the plastic and put it outside for people to use for dog bags, but it's a pain in the you know what.

Does anyone know how I can request that I get only 2 of these weekly fliers (in plastic, w/ Lowes add on plastic and paper fliers inside)
instead of a ton. I am responsible for keeping my building clean, and these are such a nuisance. There's so much to recycle.

Let me know what I can do to request either NONE or only 2!!!
