It's official - Our murder rate is on the increase - The JCPD might be able to catch the murderers, once they've committed the murder, but it doesn't answer the question on why and how can we mitigate that rate.

What's also interesting is the firearms murders - It appears that the States that are pro-gun ownership have the highest rates which suggests that pro-gun lobbyists are full of crap with some of their arguments.

How do you figure it suggest that when DC tops the list and two states that make up the top 10 aren't pro-gun?

California is 15th on that list and NJ 22nd (14th and 21st if you exclude DC). They are two of the states with the strictest gun laws in the country, so by your logic shouldn't they be on the other end of the list?

Also why does NJ have 3 of the top 10 cities with the highest murder rate in the country for 2015? Camden 2nd, Trenton 8th and Newark 10th. Illinois makes the top 10 for strictest gun laws in America and East St Louis, IL holds the number one spot.

how do you explain Vermont?

Vermont has very few gun control laws, and has among the most permissive laws in the United States regarding the purchase of firearms as well as their open or concealed carry.

in addition to that:

Vermont legalized suppressors on June 17th, 2015
