13 to vie for three open seats on Jersey City school board By JERSEY CITY — An ex-school board member and two former candidates are among the 13 people who intend to vie for three three-year terms on the school board in November. The sheer number of candidates in the non-incumbent race indicates this year's election will be more dramatic than last year's four-person contest.
