Is there a way to prevent fire from spreading through the cockloft? Each house has a different owner.
--------------------------------------------------------------- FIRE IN JERSEY CITY SPREADS TO 2 BUILDINGS Saturday, May 21, 2016 10:30AM JERSEY CITY, New Jersey (WABC) -- A fire in Jersey City was brought under control Saturday morning after spreading to two other buildings. The three-alarm fire, which started around on Ege Avenue around 9 a.m. is now under control, but firefighters remained on the scene. The building where the fire started, 193 Ege Ave., is directly behind a Jersey City firehouse. A firefighter on the scene confirmed that the fire from the initial building spread through the cockloft to two adjoining homes. There were no known injuries. About 18 fire units and 60 firefighters responded.
