A 19-year-old Jersey City Heights man has been charged with stabbing a man in the upper torso and causing organ damage on May 11.

Marquise McCleod, of Congress Street near New York Avenue, stabbed the victim "causing him to sustain serious bodily injury resulting in a laceration to his liver and kidney," the criminal complaint alleges.

He is also charged with making terroristic threats for allegedly threatening to kill the man, and weapons offense related to knife, the complaint says.

McCleod is also charged with breaking into a woman's car in North Bergen on March 20 and stealing a pair of reading glasses. Probable cause for this charge is listed as security video and a voluntary statement made by McCleod, another complaint says.
