It certainly looks like a robbery to me and let's not forget this happened less than a block from the heights police station.

Summer in the city.

Maybe the Heights isn't as safe as some people claim.
Doesn't sound like knockout at all. Armed robbery is what it was.

Well, I don't know if the people who "play" the knockout game typically also rob their victims.

Regardless, the point is that this horrible act occurred in the Heights, at a time when people should feel safe walking around. Hope the "progressives" on this board recognize that these two "males" who committed this are their true enemies, not conservatives.

Of course. But they see it as a game.

A 59-year-old man was hospitalized last week after being knocked unconscious and robbed in the Heights section of Jersey City, police said.

Police responded to Hutton Street between Central and Summit avenues at around 9:30 p.m. Thursday and were met by the person who reported the incident, as well as the victim.

The caller told officers she heard a loud noise outside and saw the victim on the sidewalk.

She saw two males in dark clothing running west on Hutton Street, a police report states.

The victim said he was hit in the back of the head with some kind of object and fell to the sidewalk, briefly losing consciousness in the process.

He told police that his black shoulder bag, which contained work clothes, a black wallet and his Samsung cellphone, was missing, according to the report.

The victim was unable to provide a description of the two people seen fleeing the scene. He was taken to Jersey City Medical Center-Barnabas Health, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries, including facial fractures and scratches to the eye, police said.

Police returned to the scene of the attack to canvas the area, but were unable to trace the phone's location, the report indicates.
