"At a City Hall ceremony commemorating Juneteenth last year, Coleman told the audience gathered for the ceremony that she has trouble paying her utilities bill."
What the heck kind of utilities does she have that she cannot pay them on the $100K a year she's already pulling in (council salary+current job)? Insane...

I can't say I'm surprised, but I will say than in my 30 years here in JC she has GOT to be the least-effective, most useless council person ever in Ward F. She only gets involved (or shows up) when she can get a photo-op with the mayor.

Jersey City councilwoman to run for county register
JERSEY CITY — Ward F Councilman Diane Coleman announced today she plans to run for the position of Hudson County register in November, an election she is likely to win with backing from the local Democratic Party. Coleman, 68, would replace Pamela Gardner, who was first elected county register in 2011. The councilwoman, elected to the council in November 2012, made the announcement this morning. It's not clear if Gardner intends to seek re-election. http://www.nj.com/hudson/index.ssf/20 ... n_for_county_registe.html
