Jersey City hires Freehold Borough Councilman Kevin Kane for $65k

The City of Jersey City hired Democratic Freehold Borough Councilman Kevin Kane as the assistant director of the Office of Compliance at a salary of $65,000 a year on February 17th, according to public records obtained by Hudson County View.

Kane, a councilman since January 2002, who was re-elected to his fifth term back in November 2013, according to freeholdborodems.org, has been working out of the Department of Public Works building at 13-15 Linden Ave.

Additionally, Kane made an unsuccessful run as the Monmouth County Clerk in November 3, 2015 and served as a volunteer Freeholder firefighter between July 1980 and June 1995, according to his  LinkedIn page.
