Bucket & Bay in the "warehouse art district", on Bay just below Marin. They do child birthday parties, they block off nice corner space with flooor to ceiling windows, for adults there is booze flavored ice cream and newly opened craft brewery next door. And they are realy nice and accommodating.

If you're willing to travel to Hoboken, you might want to check out Dozzino. (They do nice pizzas akin to Razza but not as fancy, and you can add on a pig roast or porchetta if you want, plus salads, etc.) I know they do a lot of kids' birthdays and private parties. You can rent out the entire space if you want, and the food costs are pretty reasonable. Plus, it's BYO, so you save money there.

Thanks all for your responses to date.

We're looking for something low-key - mainly child-centric but that would keep adults entertained to some extent.

It's a 1-year birthday, and there's not a lot (if anything) that she'll remember so we're not looking to splurge on this. Something "small", fun and enjoyable during the cold winter months!

Please keep the additional advice coming!

Thanks,

Do you want a child-centric party or adult-centric party?

do it at home. put the money you saved in junior's 529 plan, even though Jersey provides no tax benefit.

We did Zepplin Hall for my daughters first birthday. She like a good German ale though.

Hi all,

My infant will be turning 1 this winter. Any suggestions on a birthday party venue/activity that we can utilize in the winter time?

Any info or experiences would be appreciated.

Thanks!
