I had virtually the same cake for my birthday in December, and had similar responses! Torico is pricey, but I never mind paying it. It's so damn good. Carvel is a joke comparatively.

Had no doubt they were better than carvel but just wondered if a non-dessert eater would be happy with it but it sounds like everyone is happy with them. Thanks for the info! Can't wait to try it now!

I've purchased numerous ice cream cakes from Torico's and they are superior to Carvel.

Torico > Carvel

Several flavor combinations to choose from. Call ahead or stop in the shop. They usually have several cakes in each size/flavor available at any given time.

Anyone ever order an ice cream cake from torico's? Just wondering how it compares to like a carvel cake? I'm sure better in quality but I'm wondering if close in taste? I bought a carvel cake as a birthday cake for a non-dessert eating person last year and I know he was super happy with it but it's hard to get to a carvel and torico's is closer and I would be super happy to give them business instead. I'm just wondering if he'll be happy with it.
