Absolutely correct, it's only temporary. Best to bring it in for an inspection and get a quote before any work is done. Depending on what the tech finds, you could be spending anywhere from $50 ? $1000+.

If you ONLY need to charge your AC system, you can do it at home for about $30. Almost all auto parts stores sell the kit this time of year, it's probably the first thing you'll see when you walk in the door. It's takes about 10 minutes and you don't even get your hands dirty (unless you are eating wings while you are doing it.)

I bring mine to Joe's for any routine work for the past past 12 years - they are good.

However, only time I'll bring it elsewhere if it is major work like engine work.

Chariot Auto Repair on Coles & 5th Street is great! Really great guy, always available and does not overcharge. I've brought my car in for three things and they've been very reliable every time.

Just got an alternator changed at Joe's the other day.

Brought the car in at 12, done by 4. Can't argue with that.

I had a few things done at the same time - servicing like an oil change, tire rotation, light replacement. I think the total was under $200. Tbh I didn't bother with the detail behind the number.

Recommend A M Auto Repair on 6th. Have used them for years - honest and reliable. Recently had the same job done there.
