JERSEY CITY -- An 18-year-old Jersey City teenager has been accused of using a handgun to rob a victim of his cellphone and headphones on Sunday.

Keshaun Jones of the 100 block of Grant Avenue, made his first court appearance on the charges this afternoon in Central Judicial Processing court in Jersey City via video link from Hudson County jail in Kearny.

He is charged with a weapons offense related to a firearm, as well as first degree armed robbery, which carries a possible sentence of 10 to 20 years in prison upon conviction.

Bail was set at $100,000 cash or bond for Jones, officials said.
