A 56-year-old North Bergen man made his first court appearance today on charges he stabbed a man 13 times aboard a commuter bus in Jersey City on Saturday.




Bail was set at $125,000 with a 10 percent cash option when William R. Hill of the 7700 block of Kennedy Boulevard appeared in Central Judicial Processing court in Jersey City today.

Those two statements seem somewhat contradictory. If Benjamin is indeed deteriorating and now getting more belligerent, it would be prudent if someone could approach the brother about perhaps getting him some additional help. A 46-year-old man was stabbed 13 times yesterday after he got into an argument on a jitney bus at Kennedy Boulevard and Thorne Street in the Jersey City Heights, police said.

The victim, who is believed to be homeless, was in critical but stable condition last night at Jersey City Medical Center-Barnabas Health, police said.
