There have been other threads asking for Photos of old JC. Put wavz in the search box and it will pull up the old threads that have links to places to find pictures. (wavz is the guy on flickr who has all of those great JC pics)

The New York Public Library has a phenomenal digital archive, including maps as well as photos - http://digitalcollections.nypl.org/ - putting Jersey City into the keyword search turns up 1000's of images, including the 1919 Plat Map (akin to the old Sanborn Maps) which showed my building in Heights was historically the 'Alaska Chemical Co.'
