That case is a classic example of why all crimes need to be reported. I have known people who have had stuff stolen, burglarized and never went to the cops. The classic was the building that had 5 or 6 bikes stolen one day and not one tenant made a report. The NEXT day the perps came back and stole the 2 bikes they had missed the day before.

people need to stand up for themselves and let others know ignorance of any kind will not be tolerated. you guys keep crossing your fingers hoping people will change overnight. it isnt gonna happen. only thing that stops bullies and people hell bent on making someone else's life miserable is to stand up to them. and f you have to. throw hands. its your life stand up for it

A Jersey City man made his first court appearance Wednesday on charges including bias intimidation after allegedly calling a man a "fag" and "fagot" more than 100 times over the past two years, officials said. Steven Rodriquez, 25, of the 700 block of Jersey Avenue, was out on bail when he made his first court appearance on the charges in Central Judicial Processing court in Jersey City. He is charged with "purposely and knowingly intimidating and threatening the victim" by calling him a 'fagot' and 'fag," the criminal complaint says. He is also charged with harassment for allegedly blocking the victim's path and stopping him from "walking forward on March 14 at 8 p.m. in the area of Fourth Street and Manila Avenue in Jersey City," the complaint says. Probable cause is based on the statement of the alleged victim, the complaint says, adding that Rodriguez's bail was set at $2,000 with a 10 percent cash option. The Journal
