Like Fulop, he'll say "Development" & brag about the massive density increase he's pushing 190x, but the words "transit improvement" will never cross his lips...

Brian has been very helpful to the Bayside Park Neighborhood Association, responding to a number of issues we needed help with. Specifically he helped us design and get implemented new signage for the park, benches added, security fences repaired, and general cleanup and maintenance.

He was quick to respond and kept us informed along the way, and arranged on site meetings with key city folks. I think he is a great choice though I will miss his support of our NA.

Brian Platt named director for Jersey City's new Innovation Team

JERSEY CITY -- Brian Platt has been named director of Jersey City's new Innovation Team, a program funded through a three-year, $2.25 million grant from Bloomberg Philanthropies, Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop announced yesterday in a statement.

Jersey City was one of twelve cities in the United States selected in December 2014 to take part in the Bloomberg Philanthropies' program. The Innovation Team, nicknamed the "i-team," will initially focus on the revitalization of main street business districts in Jersey City.

Platt worked as an data analyst with a global management consulting firm, McKinsey & Company, according to the release. He previously taught kindergarten in Newark through the Teach for America Program as well.
