Renato's, behind Pizza Masters
The restaurant side of Gino's Pizza

For grab and go, Andrea's Salumeria, although they close early.
For another grab and go, with surprising quality, Podewitz's

El Sabroso and Los Tres Chilitos are two places where you can sit and enjoy an excellent meal. Throw Isla Bonita in there, too.

Rumbas Cafe serves up some of the best food, and you can walk out stuffed for $6

El Rinkoncito is a small Peruvian place with an owner who frequents JC Heights message boards.

If it's Olive Garden that you're looking for, than you're completely out of luck.

Outside of take-out / fast food there really isn't much on Central Ave. There is one family diner type place (can't recall the name) that I ate once at about 10 years ago.

There was a thread about a new place that opened in the Heights not too long ago. Don't know if that place was on Central though.

Tommy's by Bauer Street ?

with the burgeoning restaurant scene in dtjc, i was wondering if anything new, interesting restaurants are opening on central avenue? i'm not looking for a fancy place, but nothing drab either - middle of road, like olive garden or outback or tgif
