Buon Appetito, is OK, with its strange scene with simple mediocre grub. One of my favs did not make the list Kashmir which has one of the best vegetarian options in Hudson County.

It was called Ten East.

Caf? Bello is quite good value, reliable, and the guy running the dining room (the owner?) is right on top of everything. It can be a bitch finding parking nearby. And you have to mention Benanti's Italian Deli if you talk Bayonne. And no mention of Thai O'Brien's? Where else can you find a dive bar/Thai restaurant combination but Bayonne?

El Aguila Dorada should be on that list.

I think the best thing about the hibachi place is their teriyaki beef.

the best thing at buon appetito are the sandwiches - and they're really great sandwiches. that said, the restaurant is pretty mediocre. good sized portions, but that's really about it. little cafe is good, but i confess i don't believe i've eaten at any of the others.

should i be in that weirdo town again, maybe one of them will be on the docket. probably just stick to BA, tho

Summer Dawn Hortillosa | The Jersey Journal

Bayonne may not be the first place you think of when you picture fine dining, but the Peninsula City's got its share of culinary gems.

Culture website The Culture Trip recently released a list of what it's deemed the 10 Best Restaurants in Bayonne, which includes spots offering everything from the traditional Italian fare you'd expect in Hudson County to Japanese fusion and other cuisines.

One Italian restaurant on the list, Buon Appetito, 906 Broadway, has made a name for itself with both its "light and open-spaced dining room" and deli counter. In 2010, reality star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi even paid the place a visit for a Mother's Day celebration with her mom.
