A lot of moolah: The 10 top Hudson County pensions over $100,000

JERSEY CITY — New Jersey Watchdog's annual list of retired public officials collecting more than $100,000 in pensions when 2014 ended is out, and many prominent Hudson County names are on the list.

Here were the top 10 pensions in 2014 for officials in Hudson County, according to New Jersey Watchdog:

1. Former Jersey City Public Schools Superintendent and two-year state assemblyman Charles Epps: $195,000

2. Former North Bergen Board of Education Assistant Superintendent, freeholder and legendary North Bergen High School football coach Vincent Ascolese: $180,180

3. Former Union City Board of Education Superintendent Stanley Sanger: $167,082.12

4. Former North Bergen Superintendent Robert Dandorph: $159,900

5. Former North Bergen Superintendent Peter Fischbach: $156,676.68

6. Former Bayonne Police Chief Robert Kubert: $155,529.72

7. Former Hoboken Police Chief Carmen LaBruno: $147,429.00

8. Former Union City Police Chief Charles Everett: $146,851.56

9. Former North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue Chief Brion McEldowney: $145,588.80

10. Former Hoboken Fire Chief John Cassesa: $144,194.52
