If you look at the license plate from pics it was a TLC limo/ high end cab/UBER etc. I assume he was waiting there for a scheduled pickup somewhere near by as I do see them on regular basis there when I go there for food shopping.

I hope they can get some prints of these cars and catch them.

Very scary - especially the time of day, 2.45pm is dismissal time and kids will be walking home from school. Ugh.

Minutes after a 2014 Mercedes Benz was carjacked, the luxury automobile and another car led police on a high-speed through in Jersey City streets on Friday, according to police reports.

A 52-year-old Brooklyn man told police that he was parked and behind the wheel of his four-door black Mercedes Benz in the parking lot of the BJ's Wholesale Club on Marin Boulevard around 2:45 p.m Friday, according to police reports.

Then a man wearing a ski mask came up to the car and pointed a semi-automatic handgun him, according to police reports.

"Don't move give me your wallet, cellphone and keys or I will shot you," the ski-masked man told the 52-year-old, according to police reports.

The Brooklyn man then placed all those items in the front passenger seat and got out of the car, according to police reports. The man with the handgun then jumped into the Mercedes Benz and drove away, according to police reports.

The 52-year-old added that he saw a white car with its windows tined following the carjacker out of the parking lot, according to police reports.

It was around 3pm. I have yet to find any reporting on what happened, which is odd. I found a link for the JC police scanner and they said something about a white acura with tinted windows.

Out of curiosity, what time of day did this happen? And what kind of car?
