Dear Parents,
We are very excited to introduce a new class at AlphaMinds Academy, Programming for Kids!!!

First class is this Saturday, January 10th. Space is limited, please pre-register to attend this class on our website!

This course is built around Scratch, a simple yet powerful programming language developed at MIT that uses color-coded blocks that appeal to young students. Scratch is the most popular language for young programmers, with about seven million users around the world.

This course relies on a series of fun-filled projects. For example, your student may use Scratch to animate a character, tell a story, write a song, or even design a simple video game. There?s equal emphasis on the mastery of tools and the expression of imagination. Each student?s instruction is differentiated according to his or her interests, learning style, and pace. In order to participate in the class, students must bring their own laptops to each class.

This course is designed for students who are currently in grades 1-5.
Schedule: Saturdays, 12:30-1:30 pm, 10 sessions (01/10-03/28, no classes 01/24, 02/14)
Fee: $280
