That is great news, but I can only imagine your drama is the tip of the iceberg and much more can be done for those on ANY welfare benefits or low incomes in this city.

When was the last time the city dedicated and managed a plot of land to developers exclusively for those on welfare or lower income ? There is no reason the city could not build, manage and fund (initially) a building that ran as a non-profit to cater to those mentioned.

Yeah it is called the projects. It's been done 10 times over.

Thank-you for the enlightenment - my ignorance is now updated !

The photos are wrong. Jackson Green is a for sale project. The Jersey Journal screwed up the photos! Jackson Green is a great project and looks terrific. I wish the Jersey Journal would get there facts straight!!

At least this highlights what is possible if individuals with influence and knowhow jump in and help!

I wish to thank Debbie Harris and Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop for assisting me in obtaining a rent-subsidized apartment.

I am totally disabled. I receive social security disability. I have not worked since 2011. When I lost my job; I lost my apartment. When Mayor Fulop learned of my predicament, he assigned Debbie Harris to work on getting me an apartment. Ms. Harris drove me from one apartment to another until I got an apartment. She still calls me to make sure I am doing well.

Mayor Fulop and Debbie Harris prevented me from becoming homeless. God bless Mayor Fulop and Ms. Harris for all they have done for me.
